How We Met  | The Proposal | Meet Keri and Patrick

Patrick and I worked at two different companies that were being merged together. I was asked to go to the other office to help them clear up some work and get things organized. The desk I was given to use while I was there was the desk next to Patrick.

We hit it off immediately and were able to chat and joke easily. I thought that there could be something betweeen the us, but Patrick didn't really notice anything at the time.

Eventually, we spent some time together outside of the office and found that we enjoyed each other's company. By this time, I had been made Patrick's boss. He didn't seem to let this deter him! I asked him out and we began dating. Then everything just seemed to click and we knew that we would be spending our lives together.

Keri came to work at my office to help in our department for 3-weeks. During that time I was my normal charming self and she coulnd't help but fall for me. Of course she asked me out several times. But at that time, money was tight for me so I said no the first few times. Then on her third ask, I proposed watching the Leafs-Canadiens game at my dad's place. I've continued to charm her ever since.

I was attracted to Keri straight away and the way we were able to make each other laugh was great. Her infectious exuberance for life and the fact that she became my boss later made it very important for me to get to know her better. After 6 months of knowing each other I suggested that we live together. It was the best suggestion I ever made.
