What happens if a hurricane hits before we leave for our trip?

If a hurricane hits before your departure the tour operator will assist you in either finding another destination/hotel or refunding/crediting you if damage to the destination or hotel does not allow for a safe and problem free vacation. They will never knowingly send you if the hotel was not up to standards. We have to go by the tour operator's terms and conditions and from past some will give refunds, others will give travel credit.

What happens if a hurricane hits while we are on our trip?

If a hurricane looks like its path is going to take it into your destination they will do a few things. If it is a day or two before departure they may cancel the flight ahead of time so you are not in the direct path or danger. If you are down there and the hurricane looks like a direct hit they will try to send planes down early to get you and bring you home. Again it depends on the path and ferocity of the storm. You must remember that October is the end of hurricane season and the chances of getting hit are very slim.
